The unknown conjugates formed by ridgeback prawns had chromatographic properties similar to the corresponding beta-D-glucosides but were refractory to the deconjugation by alpha- or beta-glucosidase, beta-galactosidase, aryl sulphatase and beta-glucuronidase.
