3191526 | Sandri G, Siagri M, Panfili E: Influence of Ca2+ on the isolation from rat brain mitochondria of a fraction enriched of boundary membrane contact sites. Cell Calcium. 1988 Aug;9(4):159-65. Three fractions were obtained by this technique, which were identified by measuring the relative specific activities of marker enzymes, namely -cytochrome c reductase; -cytochrome c reductase (rotenone insensitive); hexokinase and glutathione transferase, for the inner and outer membranes and contact sites, respectively. |

2457393 | Kottke M, Adam V, Riesinger I, Bremm G, Bosch W, Brdiczka D, Sandri G, Panfili E: Mitochondrial boundary membrane contact sites in brain: points of hexokinase and kinase location, and control of Ca2+ transport. Biochim Biophys Acta. 1988 Aug 17;935(1):87-102. The fraction was composed of inner and outer limiting membrane components as shown by the specific marker enzymes, succinate dehydrogenase and -cytochrome-c-oxidase (rotenone insensitive). As reported earlier for the enriched contact site fraction of liver mitochondria the fraction from brain mitochondria contained a high activity of glutathione transferase and a low concentration. |
