The trace-level determination of ten priority organophosphorus (OP) pesticides (e.g., chlorpyrifos-methyl, diazinon, disulfoton, fenthion, fenamiphos) and various transformation products (TPs; e.g., disulfoton sulfoxide, fenthion sulfoxide etc.) using automated on-line solid-phase extraction (SPE) with C18 precolumns followed by LC-MS and thermospray interface with time-scheduled selected-ion monitoring (SIM) was developed.

Methods for the determination of thirteen fungicide and insecticide residues by solid-phase extraction with C18 and graphitized carbon black (GCB) were evaluated.
The recoveries were determined by fortifying six different crops (apples, oranges, pears, tomatoes, lettuces and paprikas) with the pesticides studied (bromopropylate, chlorpyrifos methyl, cypermethryn, deltamethryn, fenarimol, fenvalerate, imazalil, lindane, permethryn, phentoate, procymidone, propiconazole and vinclozoline).

Three different mixtures of pesticides were resolved with satisfactory results: parathion-methyl, chlorpyrifos-methyl, and vinclozolin; parathion-ethyl, chlorpyrifos, and triadimefon; and endosulfan sulfate and carbophenothion.
The proposed models were applied to the determination of 3 mixtures of pesticides at levels of 0.02-1.00 ng/mL in wetland water samples after a preconcentration step with C18 cartridges, with recoveries ranging from 82.7 to 117.4%.
