Fenitrothion given po at 435 mg/kg bw produced pronounced inhibition of blood acetylcholinesterase (AChE) and elevation in serum aspartate and alanine aminotransferases, acid and alkaline phosphatases, and lactate dehydrogenase within 30 min.

Changes in protein metabolism were studied in hemolymph and fat body of 5th instar silkworm Bombyx mori exposed to lethal and sublethal doses of fenitrothion and ethion.
A sharp enhancement in the activities of alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase paralleled the elevation of glutamate dehydrogenase activity in the tissues studied.

3590218 Malik JK, Srivastava AK: Studies on the interaction between manganese and fenitrothion in rats. Toxicol Lett. 1987 May;36(3):221-6.

Oral administration of FTH (260 mg/kg) markedly inactivated cholinesterase (ChE) and carboxylesterase and elevated the activities of acid phosphatase, alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase in different tissues 3 h after dosing.

Dichlorvos was studied for its action at supratoxic doses (50.0, 100.0 and 150.0 mg per litre) and it was found that lactate dehydrogenase activity was almost completely suppressed; the inhibition of alanine aminotransferase was pronounced.
