19186820 | Zhang ZB, Hu JY, Sai SX, Zhao YB, Huang C, Tian XJ: [Gene cloning, sequence analysis and tissue expression of estrogen-related receptor alpha (Erralpha) in Japanese medaka and its transcriptional responses after differential EDCs exposure]. Huan Jing Ke Xue. 2008 Nov;29(11):3153-8. After 3 weeks exposure of medaka to 200 ng/L (EE2), 200 ng/L (E1), 200 ng/L diethylstilbestrol (DES), 100 microg/L atrazine (AT) and 200 ng/L 17beta- (E2), transcripts of ERRalpha were significantly decreased to 0.54, 0.56, 0.61, 0.63 and 0.65 of control (p < 0.05) in the testes, respectively. The DBD of medaka ERRalpha is of the same length and has high sequence identity with those of estrogen receptor (ERalpha and ERbeta) and androgen receptor (ARalpha and ARbeta) of medaka, but much difference was found between the LBD of medaka ERRalpha with those of ERalpha, ERbeta, ARalpha and ARbeta. |

15081833 | Gale WL, Patino R, Maule AG: Interaction of xenobiotics with estrogen receptors alpha and beta and a putative plasma sex hormone-binding globulin from channel catfish (Ictalurus punctatus). Gen Comp Endocrinol. 2004 May 1;136(3):338-45. The alkylphenolic compounds (4-octylphenol and 4-nonylphenol) displayed some ability to displace 3H-E2 binding from ERalpha and beta at high concentrations, but dieldrin and atrazine had little binding activity for both ER subtypes and endosulfan for ERbeta. |

18585445 | Cimino-Reale G, Ferrario D, Casati B, Brustio R, Diodovich C, Collotta A, Vahter M, Gribaldo L: Combined in utero and juvenile exposure of mice to arsenate and atrazine in drinking water modulates gene expression and clonogenicity of myeloid progenitors. Toxicol Lett. 2008 Jul 30;180(1):59-66. Epub 2008 Jun 8. The expression of estrogen receptors alpha (ERalpha) and beta (ERbeta) in bone marrow cells was investigated, and an up-regulation of receptor beta was observed in both genders. |

Sci Total Environ. 1999 Aug 15;233(1-3):47-56. In all of the models, nonylphenol mixture (NPm), 4n-nonylphenol (4nNP), 2,4'-DDE, 4,4'-DDE and wastewater sewage treatment effluent were active, while PCB mixture (Aroclor 1254), PCB 77, atrazine and lindane (gamma hexachlorocyclohexane) were inactive. |
