Farmers continued to use amitraz as the major acaricide for tick control after the diagnosis of resistance, although it was supplemented with moxidectin (dairy farms) or fluazuron, macrocyclic lactones or cypermethrin/chlorfenvinphos. Acetylcholine esterase affinity for OPs is changed in resistant tick populations. |
