We cultured adipose stem cells on bioabsorbable poly (l-lactide-co-caprolactone) (PLCL) sheets, sterilized using either ethylene oxide (EO), argon glow discharge (aGD) or electron beam (e-beam).

In this study, the mechanical and degradation properties of a novel 75:25 poly (l-lactide-co-epsilon-caprolactone) (PLCL) thin film, as well as, the effects of different surface structures on stem cell adherence and resistance to shear stress was investigated.
Ethylene oxide treatment significantly increased the stiffness and yield stress of the films, which exhibit > 700% elongation.
