8397143 | Adams JD Jr, Klaidman LK, Leung AC: MPP+ and MPDP+ induced MPP+ may be capable of interacting with submitochondrial particles at a site other than the rotenone site, which results in some formation of radicals. Plasma amine oxidase incubations with MPDP+ resulted in O2.- H2O2, and perhaps HO. formation. |

11038276 | Lizcano JM, Unzeta M, Tipton KF: A spectrophotometric method for determining the oxidative deamination of amine oxidases. Anal Biochem. 2000 Nov 1;286(1):75-9. The present work describes a coupled spectrophotometric assay, using formaldehyde dehydrogenase, for the continuous determination of the oxidative deamination of by semicarbazide-sensitive amine oxidase (SSAO) and its potential use for determining concentrations in plasma. Interference from the presence of a rotenone-insensitive oxidase activity in crude tissue homogenates and microsomal fractions can be minimized by pretreating samples with Triton X-100 or substituting NAD (+) by APAD (+) in the coupled assay. |
